Ball screws are among the most efficient devices available for converting rotary motion to linear motion. The high efficiency, which ranges from 50% to 98%, results in dramatic savings in system size and weight.
Increased efficiency, coupled with the mechanical reliability of ball bearing technology, permits heavy loads to be positioned by smaller, lower weight, less power-consuming motors and eliminates leakage, sponginess and problems associated with hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Recirculating ball bearings assure quiet, smooth, long life and trouble-free operation.

Industrial Ball Screws
Beaver has a long history of designing and building ball screws for industrial applications including machine tool applications. The following standard ball nut styles are available:
- Non-preloaded and integral preload
- Double nut preload
- 4 circuit integral preload
- Preloaded housing for flange mounting
- Preloaded housing for base mounting
- Screw diameters range from .250″ to 8″ in diameter with multiple english and metric leads available.

Beaver also offers complete Repair & Overhaul services for aircraft ball screws, including FAA-approved ball screws and electromechanical actuators.
